Welcome to my Shotoku System review. Today we’re going to be looking at the latest product from none other than Brendan Mace.
For those of you who have been fortunate enough not to have crossed paths with him let me just tell you he’s not the sort of guy you’d really want to.
I have had my readers tell me of their troubles with Brendan Mace which I’ll go over in more detail a bit later and unfortunately it’s not something that Mr Mace seems overly concerned about.
It might be a good idea to check out Donna’s and Stephane’s comment here so you can get some idea of the sort of person you’d be dealing with.
For all the rubbish that has gone before this product and you know it’s total crap you’ll always find other ‘reviewers‘ who promote it just so they can get their grubby little mitts on the commission.
They don’t care if it’s any good or not as long as you buy through their link, they’ll probably offer you some ridiculous amount of bonuses which are normally just PLR products anyway.
Luckily, you’ve landed here where you’ll get an honest opinion, not swayed by the chance of a commission, as to whether this is a good product or one that you should stay far away from.
This review will compare the sales page to the actual product to see if the claims hold water or not. We’ll go over any good bits as well as any bad bits and we’ll let you know who would benefit most from this.
After that we’ll take a look inside the members area to see what that involves before moving on to the upsells to let you know what they are, how much cost and more importantly if you can get any discounts and how to get them.
Whichever way this turns out you’ll know by the end of this review if it’s a product that you can make use of or a total waste of your time.
So, without further ado, let’s get this review started….

Shotoku System Review – What’s It About?
Before we take a look at the claims being made on the sales page I think it’s only right we dive straight into what this really is, I know you’re dying to know, I Know I am.
Basically this has what they call ‘digital assets’ which are PDF’s that cover different subjects with each one roughly about 40 pages long.
To give you some idea of the subjects covered here is some examples:
- Cosmetic Surgery
- Pareting Through Divorce
- Home Brewing
- Internet Safety Book
- How To Stop Smoking For Good
- etc, etc.
It also has 2 ways to monetize your ‘assets’. The first is a monetized page and the other one is a lead capture page:
The monetization page is the page where your visitor will download the ‘asset’ but in big letters there is also a call to action which leads to an affiliate offer of your choice.
The lead page is designed to capture peoples emails so you can market to them later. The trouble was when i tried it you didn’t actually have to put in your email to get to the ‘asset’ download page which sort of defeats the object of a lead capture page.
The way to get traffic to either your lead page or your monetization page is to use the inbuilt social sharing buttons. Basically what you’re expected to do is spam your social media with a link that looks like this:
And that is Shotoku System in a nutshell.
Somethings been bothering me since I saw the members area. You know in the Back To The Future 2 film, where old Biff comes out of the cafe 80s and says ” there’s something very familiar about all this…” well I think the same things going on here, so I did a bit of digging
Now i don’t know if Brendan Mace has a bump on his head and is suffering from amnesia, but only last year he released a product called Atomic DFY which is exactly the same as this product!
The only thing that is different is the name, he’s actually taken an old product, slapped a new name on it and is releasing it again.
What a con.

Shotoku System Sales Page
I’m not going to spend too much time on this, I just want to see if he’s managed to put together a new sales page at the very least.
Unfortunately it doesn’t look like he’s even bothered to do that. That headline above is from this product, Shotoku System and the headline below is from Atomic DFY:
The two pages are near enough identical in every way.
It’s not good when a vendor doesn’t even change the sales page, but then again the product hasn’t been changed either!
According to Brendan this is the whole shebang, you’ll get the assets, free traffic and monetization needed to grow a full online business.
While you do get the assets, the free traffic might be a problem. As we now know the traffic comes by way of you sharing the link throughout various social media platforms .
The trouble with that is you’re going to need to be very specific for example if you were to use the asset about adopting a child you need to target people who are interested in adoption.
Just blasting away isn’t going to work
Obviously you then need to find some way of monetizing that so don’t believe the hype on the sales page where it says “3 easy steps takes you from zero to profits“.
You need to find those particular groups of people, you need to interact with them to gain their trust which isn’t a quick process. Once you’ve gained their trust you can begin to think about putting your link out there.
The rest of the sales page is just hype with statements like: “If you’re looking for a FAST way to start an online business, then we created this solution for you!”
Total rubbish.[su_divider top=”no”]
The Good Bits
- You do get some PDF reports, but they are PLR
The Bad Bits
- Totally unrealistic sales page
- Lack of any real training
- You’ve probably never heard of most of the social media sites you use for traffic
- Time needed to build relationships with all the different groups you need to join

Who Would This Benefit Most From This?
I struggled to answer this one for quite a while. Someone who is new will see that sales page and instantly think it’s the answer to their prayers whereas someone with any experience will see it for what it is and realise the amount of time needed to even stand a chance of making money with this.
I hate to say it, but the main person this is going to benefit form this is the vendor.[su_divider top=”no”]
Inside Shotoku System Members Area
Before we get into the members area I just want to give you a quick heads up about the upsells, You’ll see these straight after you buy this product, but before you actually get into the members area.
I’ve had many people tell me about different vendors having a money back guarantee on the sales page only to either leave it off the upsells or greatly reduce the period you can refund within.
Take Matthew for example, he unfortunately lost out on $600 when the upsells he bought didn’t have a money back guarantee.
My advice to you is when you see the upsells, and there are 5 by the way, just cruise on by, they’re available inside the members area anyway so you don’t need to worry about FOMO.
When you do eventually get into the members area you’ll see this dashboard area:
It’s a pretty straightforward dashboard with everything accessible form the panel on the left, the assets, the pages, the sharing buttons as well as the upgrades. I’m not going to spend too much time here because there isn’t really a lot here and plus I’ve already covered what’s here earlier.[su_divider top=”no”]
The Oto’s
Let’s quickly take a look at what the upsells are and how much they cost.
- OTO #1 – Platinum Edition – $37
- OTO #2 – Done For You – $197
- OTO #3 The Source – $97
- OTO #4 – Unlimited Traffic – $197
- OTO #5 – License Rights – $167
Do you need these? No absolutely not.[su_divider top=”no”]
Final Thoughts
I approved the product that this was originally, Atomic DFY, but I’m really struggling to do that with this one, I know they are the same product and if I approved that one I should approve this too.
But I think that’s the problem. There’s absolutely no mention on the sales page that this has been released before and if you have bought that previous product you might be inclined to buy this one only to find out it’s a carbon copy of what you already have.
You are never going to make money as easily as he’s making out with this, there is a potential, but it’s going to take a lot of time and effort which I think could be better spent doing something more productive.
Because of what this is and the apparent lack of transparency I just can’t approve this.

What Other Options Are There?
What you’d be doing with this product is called affiliate marketing and it’s a great way to make money online if it’s done right.
It’s actually not so much about the product, although it should be a decent standard, you’re promoting as the traffic you’re sending to the offer. It has to be targeted traffic, it’s no good getting hundreds of visitors if no-one is interested in what you’re promoting.
Blasting out links to as many social media platforms as you can isn’t going to bring those targeted customers. The best way is for those people to come to you.
But how do you do that? By building your own website, ranking it in the search engines and people who are searching for information or products will actually visit your site.
The trouble is the sheer amount of training on the internet can leave you in a more confused state than before which is why I recommend using the same place I used and still use today.
I found them 5 years’ ago and although it’s taken a lot of time and effort I can enjoy paydays like this:
And don’t forget that’s just one income source, the key to this business is having multiple sources of income.
Imagine having 3 or 4 sites all producing money like that. I think you can see the potential.
At the moment Wealthy Affiliate is offering free starter memberships so all you need to do is simply click the banner below, no credit card needed, just a name and email address and you’re good to go.
I’ll meet you on the inside and be there to help you every step of the way. You’ll even meet the owners who will stop by to welcome you :)[su_divider top=”no”]
