Feature Points Review

Welcome to my Feature Points review. Today we’re going to be looking at an app that claims to pay you for downloading and trying out other apps.

This reminds me of another app I reviewed that here a little while ago that worked on the same basis.

The trouble is there are so many different apps that are constantly getting released that it can be hard to keep up with them all and more importantly if they’re worth your time even downloading it in the first place.

What you don’t want is to find that the app is just a scam and you’re never going to get paid, which is why it’s a good thing you’re looking at this review.

By the end of it you’ll know the ins and outs of this app and will be able to make a better decision as to whether or not you want to try it out.

What Is Feature Points About

Feature Points is an app that lets you accumulate points for doing certain things, mainly downloading other apps and trying them out, but they also have surveys to complete as another way to earn point as well as completing other offers for example if you order a trial box from Simply cook you’ll earn 519 points.

The problem with that is that trial box is going to cost you £4.99. Now at this point I don’t know how much points are worth so it will be worth bearing this in mind when we reach that section.[su_divider top=”no”]

The Sign Up Process

This is available on both operating systems and signing up is really easy, you just need an email address which you need for confirmation and your name and you’re good to go.[su_divider top=”no”]

Earning Money On Feature Points

The first way to earn points is to enter contests. You need tokens to enter and you earn these tokens by accumulating 20 points which you get when you download apps, complete surveys or watch a video.

There were 2 contests for me to enter, one cost 1 token and was for a weekly $50 prize and the other one costs 2 tokens to enter and that is for a monthly $150 prize.

The second option to earn points is by completing surveys. This is worth 10 points for filling in information about you, once you’ve done that it will unlock the next survey and so on and so on.

The next section deals with the apps. There’s 5 visible to start with, but you can load 10 more apps by clicking a button at the bottom.

Each app has different criteria that you need to complete. For example, downloading Sea Devils will earn you 18 points if you complete level 15 which I would imagine will take some time to achieve.

Not only that, but if you mange to get to that level and earn the points they will take up to 90 days to be available to you.

That’s 3 months you might have to wait to be credited.[su_divider top=”no”]

How Much Is 1 Point Worth

Right, let’s see how long that £4.99 trial food box is going to take you to make back. If you remember that is worth 519 points.

Now, to find out what these individual points are worth you have to go to the rewards section to work it out.

It turns out that the gift cards require more points than cashing out with PayPal. For a $5 PayPal payment you need 3,000 points which relates to around $0.0016 per point.

But if you want the gift cards then using the $5 example you’d need 4,050 points which means your point is worth $0.0012 roughly.

So, using that 519 points for the trial box, that equates to around $0.83.

You’d be paying $4.99 to get $0.83 in rewards. Of course that’s if my working out is right ????[su_divider top=”no”]

Surveys

Taking surveys can always be a bit hit or miss and by that I mean either a complete waste of time or something that does earn you a few points.

The trouble I have with surveys is the fact that you can enter all your details only to find out you’re not eligible once you’ve begun answering questions which is extremely annoying to say the least which is one of the reasons why I don’t like doing them.[su_divider top=”no”]

Referrals

Feature Points run a referral program that allows you to earn 50% of your referrals points. You start off at 25%, but once you’ve signed up 3 people that goes up to the 50%.

There is an unlimited amount of people you can refer so this could be the best way to accumulate your points without having to really do anything, but you need to be aware that there have been reports of people losing all their points if they haven’t been using the app for 60 days, so that’s something to keep in mind.

The people you refer will also get 50 points for using your code. They make it really easy to share your link from right inside the app.[su_divider top=”no”]

Rewards

I think this is the first time I’ve seen Bitcoin offered as a reward option. They available in $5 & $10 and you need a Coinbase account.

There are 3 options:

  • Gift cards
  • Cash
  • Bitcoin

Gift cards include Amazon, PlayStation, Xbox, Nike, Starbucks. The cash options include PayPal and also a Visa gift card with a maximum value of $250.[su_divider top=”no”]

Pros

  • Good reward options
  • Simple to earn points
  • Low cash out threshold
  • Good referral program

Cons

  • Your points expire
  • Not enough apps available
  • Low earning potential

Feature Points Hack

As a part of this review I’ve come across videos claiming to show you a Feature Points hack that gets you as many points as you want.

The way they seem to work is by having you actually download and try apps just like Feature Points. The general consensus is that these types of hacks don’t actually work, it’s all to get you to download the apps so the hack site gets paid from the developers.

I’m sure that Feature Points wouldn’t allow this type of thing even if it did work.[su_divider top=”no”]

Cashing Out

This is where they should really be commended. A lot of apps make you reach seemingly unreachable amount before you can cash out, but this applet’s you cash out with as little as $1 Amazon gift card.

With other apps there have been reports of reducing the amount of opportunities available to you when you start to get near the payout threshold.

With this being just $1 I can’t see that happening here.[su_divider top=”no”]

Complaints

Some of the complaints say that they have trouble with their points pending, this goes back to that 90 days before they are available to you.

Others say they are not getting points for the tasks or even the surveys, some are complaining about what I touched on earlier with the surveys getting information off you only to tell you there are no surveys.[su_divider top=”no”]

Getting Paid

This Depends on what reward you choose. If you want cash like most people do then make sure that the email you signed up with is also your PayPal email.

If you used a different email don’t panic you can easily change it. Just remember to do it.

If you take the Starbucks gift card you’ll get given a code to use in the Starbucks app. The other ones will be delivered to your email.[su_divider top=”no”]

Final Thoughts

Is Feature Points a scam app? No, absolutely not. Is it going to make you rich? No, of course not, but it can earn you a bit of extra pocket money.

Did you know that 84% of people who use apps will only use it once due to not being what they expected or just so buggy it just didn’t really work.

This is a legit app that pays out, alright it isn’t a lot that it pays out for the amount of time you put in, but it is something and because the threshold is so low you won’t have to wait for ages to cash out.

What Next

I’m not sure that you’re aware, but you could be using the time you spend on apps trying to earn some money to be building an income that would make the money you earn from apps look minuscule which of course it actually is.

Did you know that with Affiliate Marketing you have a fantastic opportunity to turn a hobby or something you’re passionate about into a full time income.

The main thing you need is a website.

Don’t know the first thing about building a website or how to make money from one? Don’t worry I didn’t either when I first started, but if I can do it then anyone can do it, believe me.

The good thing is you don’t even need to pay anything to see if it’s for you and at the moment they are open to new members
