Welcome to my Affiliate Robot review. Today we’re going to be looking at the latest release from a vendor that has a really bad name in the affiliate marketing world.
He has a reputation for turning out complete rubbish that just doesn’t work and then compounds that with a terrible customer service.
I’ve had the opportunity to review quite a few of his products and I can honestly say they all have one thing in common ….. they are over hyped on the sales page and fail to deliver in a big way.
Now, I’m all for giving people a second chance to show they’ve changed their game, but this guy has had more second chances than I care to remember.
Having said that, like all my reviews, I will give him a fair crack of the whip. Unfortunately there are affiliates of this product that will just tell you how great it is regardless of the fact if it is or not, they are just in it for the commission.
Take a look at the 1st page of Google and you’ll see what I mean.
This review however will take a look at the whole package, from the sales page to the members area and the upsells. You’ll also find out my thoughts on this product, whether I feel it is a good investment for you or not.
So without further ado, let’s crack on.
NAME: Affiliate Robot
OWNERS: Billy Darr & Justin Opay
The Sales page
This is where we get to see what sort of claims are being made and later will see how those claims match up to the actual product.
The first thing I want to point out is the near instant $3 discount you’ll be offered as soon as you move your mouse anywhere near the top of the page.
Doesn’t that sound great, just one button, easy sales, 60 seconds, all in one traffic AND sales solution. How can anyone resist, right.
That is an incredible statement. In step 3 you’re going to have free viral traffic that turns into 3 figure paydays in as little as 60 seconds…. BS!
There is no way on earth that is going to happen and even if I hadn’t seen the product that’s a totally unrealistic claim. But having had a look at the product I can say for certain it isn’t going to happen.
Sorry if that has burst your bubble but, unlike the other reviews that will tell you that is possible with this software, I just can’t do that to you.
There is something missing from those 3 steps and I’m going to add it
STEP 4 – ASK FOR A REFUND!
There’s a part in the sales page that actually states that most programs out there just don’t work or they sell bug filled software.
Well, Billy Darr himself falls into that exact category with some of the stuff he’s put out in the past. Like Traffic Robot for example where in the 2.0 version he actually admits to how bad the first one was. (unfortunately the second one wasn’t any better)
The rest of the sales page is pretty much the same with loads of lame copy designed to make you feel bad and then give you the solution.
What Is Affiliate Robot About?
OK, so we know what the sales page says about those 3 step, but there isn’t really a lot of other clues as to what this really is.
To be fair even though I have access to it I’m struggling a bit to figure stuff out. The best way I can describe it is by telling you what’s in the first part of the training.
It seems you have to create either a sales video or a lead video. You do this by way of getting your videos from YouTube.
Now, it’s not clear if you have to get permission for the video you use, creative commons probably wouldn’t be a problem but just taking someone’s video and using at your own opens up a whole raft of problems least of which is the legality of it.
You then add some descriptions, headlines, tags and then share on your social media accounts.
And that is what is supposed to turn any traffic you do get from spamming your accounts into 3 figure paydays.
- Cloud based (unreliable)
- Very thin training
- Campaign button missing from dashboard
- Exaggerated claims on the sales page
Who Would Use This?
Unfortunately the only people who would have anything to do with this is someone who is new to the business and believes the claims being made on the sales page as being possible.
Anyone with any experience wouldn’t touch this with a barge pole, I know I wouldn’t.
Inside Affiliate Robot
As with all products like this once you buy it you’re going to have upsells shown to you before you get to the members area of the product you just bought.
The reason I’m bringing this up is the fact that I’ve had so many of my readers contact me to tell me of the trouble they have getting their money back on the upsells that I feel a warning is in order.
Take a look at Matthews comment here to see just what I mean. For now I suggest you skip the upsells which I’ll be going over in the next section.
So once you get past the upsells you make it into the members area:
It’s a pretty basic dashboard with a couple of things missing. In one of the training videos it shows a campaign button and an analytics button.
Now this could be that those are only available within the upgrades but I would have at least thought the ability to create a campaign would have been included.
The training comes by way of a support desk which is a new one on me. It’s very basic stuff which could do with being a bit more helpful.
You know I said about not buying these when first presented, well i’m gad I did. There are an incredible 8 upsells! I’ve never seen 8 before, it’s just ridiculous.
- OTO #1 – Unlimited Edition – $39 with a downsell to $36
- OTO #2 – AutoPilot Edition – $39 with a downsell to $36
- OTO #3 – Done For You Edition – $197 with a downsell to $69
- OTO #4 – Reseller Rights – $39 with a downsell to $36
- OTO #5 – Luxury Edition – $197 with a downsell to $97
- OTO #6 – The Machine Edition – $197 with a downsell to $97
- OTO #7 – 1K Daily Edition – $39 with a downsell to $36
- OTO #8 – Mega Bundle Edition – $39 with a downsell to $36
If you were to buy all those and paid full price you’d be shelling out close to $800! That’s just insane!
Now, imagine you bought OTO #3 and paid $197, how would you feel knowing you could have got it for $100 less? I know I’d feel pretty sick.
To get those downsell prices all you have to do is click “No Thanks” at the bottom of each page. If all I do is save you some money then I’m happy.
When I came into this review I’ll admit I did have some preconceptions about how good this product was going to be. Was it going to be more of the same form Billy Darr or was it going to be something worthwhile.
Unfortunately it is the former which is a real shame.
There’s a guy on YouTube at the moment called Carsten Tiensuu who is reviewing a lot of these so called gurus, his videos are well worth a watch:
Everything seems to be 60 seconds, he has so many products promising easy sales or unlimited traffic, which is of course totally unrealistic.
If he were to put as much effort into creating a decent product as he does into making rubbish then he’d be on to a winner, but for some reason he seems heel bent on turning out as much crap as he can.
As bad as this product is there is just no need for it apart from making Billy Darr money and his partners money of course.
The training in here I can only assume is there so that there is some “training” included because it’s so superficial it’s not really worth being there.
I can only hope you read this before you make the mistake of buying this.
The truth of the matter is you don’t need any special software or the next big thing to make money online, but you do need a website.
