Freebie Commissions Review

Welcome to my Freebie Commissions review. Today we’re going to be looking at the latest product release from the Kosky boys.

I’d like to say it’s been a while since they released anything, but that’s not the case, in fact only yesterday I reviewed another of their products, Viral News Jacker. The thing is, these guys release so many products and the sales pages all amount to the same thing, telling you how this latest product will be the one, how it’s going to make you the money online you’ve been searching for.

You know the type of stuff, it’s on every sales page you see. The problem is very rarely do those claims live up to expectations. Which is why I do these reviews so you can get an honest overview of the product and not just some biased ‘review’ just looking for a commission and just repeating what you can read for yourself on the sales page.

I’ve got to be honest I have reviewed a number of their product before and apart from that last one I reviewed I haven’t been that impressed with them.

These guys are even involved in Clickbank products like Secret Millionaire Bot which was very low quality, like a lot of Clickbank products unfortunately.

But we’re not focusing on those previous products today. I give an honest review based on what I see in front of me and not based on the past. I call it as it is.

What Is Freebie Commissions About?

Basically Freebie Commissions works on the same principle that many big companies employ, give away something of perceived value and hope that people feel obligated to buy something in return.

  • Giveaway a freebie which is one of their previous products
  • Make money if and when people upgrade to the paid options

But the question is who are you giving that freebie away to?

Well the only option I could find for getting traffic, either on the sales page or inside the members area, is from social media.

Now that means that you’re going to have to have a large following, belong to lots of groups and spam the hell out of them or you’re going to have to pay for ads.

This is meant to be a sort of one stop shop that has done for you funnels, they host the landing pages, they give you the product to give away. All you need to do is to add you autoresponder details as well as your affiliate link.

Talking of affiliate links, you need to apply to be approved to get your link, but it’s not made clear if you are going to automatically approved.

If you are new it might be a problem getting approved, but I wouldn’t think so, it just wouldn’t make any sense for them not to approve you now would it?

This actually reminds me of a Brendan Mace product that I reviewed a while back called Goodwill, Funnily enough he’s on the sales page giving this a ‘testimonial’.

Talking of sales pages let’s take a quick look at this one.[su_divider top=”no”]

The Sales Page

The reason I do this is simply to compare what the vendors reckon this does and what’s actually inside once you’ve paid your money.

A lot of the time the sales page bears very little resemblance to what the product actually is and seeing as it’s the sales page that will probably sway you into buying you need to know if what they are saying is true.

freebie commissions sales page headline

That’s a great headline isn’t it. But do you notice how it’s worded? “HOW WE MAKE” That doesn’t mean that you’re going to make that amount.

Which don’t get me wrong is a good thing because a lot of vendors would have the words “HOW YOU CAN MAKE”, but you have to take into account these guys have been doing this a long long time and have a big following to leverage.

Chances are you’re not going to have those resources to market to.

Even though I applaud them for saying “WE and not “YOU” I still find it hard to believe that EVERY person ends up buying upgrades as a result of being given something, that’s almost a guarantee to print money.

Which then raises the question, “Why bother selling this when they simply have to give something away and bingo, they’ve made up to $497 every single time”?

That to me would be a better, more surefire way to make their money which makes me believe that headline should be taken with a pinch of salt.

The opening lines of the sales video doesn’t make a great deal of sense to me. Glynn states that they have only been using this way of making money by giving stuff away for free for a few months, before that his 6 figure per year income had been built on selling stuff.

Then as you move down the sales page you see this:

sales page hype

So, what’s it to be Glynn. Have you only just discovered this method a few months ago or have you been ‘stuffing commissions into your accounts for years‘???

Talking of commissions let’s take a look at this screenshot:

sales page income shot

This is meant to be commissions made from this method, right. So, $593.49 divided by 32 sales gives you the grand total of $18.54 per person ……. not quite the $497 now is it!

The rest of the sales is pretty much geared towards making this sound so easy that you’ll be kicking back, sipping margaritas watching the money roll in with just a click of your mouse.

If only it were that easy ………[su_divider top=”no”]

What Did I Like

  • It has potential
  • They give you 2 products to give away
  • Basic training included

What I Didn’t Like

  • Cloud based software (has a tendency not to work very well, see here for example)
  • Very over hyped sales page
  • Way too many upsells, which makes you wonder, “If this business model works so well for them why are they not giving this product away and cash in on those upsells”??

Inside The Members Area

Before we take a look inside here I need to give you a quick warning about the upsells which you have to get past before you can actually access your purchase.

Buying upsells at this point can lead to problems, big problems, mainly with getting your money back if you find they’re not what you thought they were going to be.

Take a look at Donna’s and Stephane’s comment here to get better idea of what I mean. I just think it’s better to be aware of what could happen before it actually does which doesn’t I think these guys would, but better safe than sorry especially with the amount of money 6 upsells will cost you.

Once you get into the members area you’ll find a pretty standard layout with the menu on the left:

freebie commissions members area

It’s pretty easy to navigate your way around, but one thing I noticed was how slow it was. Hopefully that’s not a sign they’re having problems with their server.

And that’s the problem with cloud based software, it can be very temperamental.

The training that’s included, although basic, does do a good enough job of showing you how things work and you shouldn’t have any real trouble on that front.[su_divider top=”no”]

The Upsells

Let’s quickly touch on those upsells that we spoke about a bit earlier. There are 6 of them which in my mind is wholly unnecessary, but to be fair I don’t see the point of upsells, period!

  • OTO #1 – $97 with a downsell to $47 – Unlimited Version
  • OTO #2 – $67 with a downsell to $47 – Done for you (3 extra giveaway products
  • OTO #3 – $97 with a downsell to $67 – Automated Traffic Flow
  • OTO #4 – $67 with a downsell to $47 – Conversion Boosting Tools
  • OTO #5 – $67 with a downsell to $47 – Bonus Page Creator
  • OTO #6 – $197 with a downsell to $97 – License Rights.

You know what really annoys me about these? Well apart from the fact you really don’t need them, imagine being the person that paid $197 and then finding out you could have got the exact same thing for $100 less.

How would you feel?

I know how I’d feel, I would feel as if they have conned me out of my money, wouldn’t you?

If you want to take advantage of what you now know all you have to do is click ‘No Thanks’ at the bottom of each page and you’ll get the discounted price, but like I say, you really don’t need these.[su_divider top=”no”]

Final Thoughts

When it comes to conning people out of money I think it’s one of the most despicable things one person can do to another. There isn’t any need for it. Perhaps it’s just me, but taking advantage of people isn’t something I would be proud of.

I wonder if these people would like it if themselves or a loved one fell foul to the same thing, probably not, but they have no problem doing it to other people.

As far as this product is concerned I’m not sure how long this will work, is this going to be a temporary venture for these guys?

That’s a big problem with having your business done by other people, you might think it’s really convenient not having to do it all yourself, but what happens when they get bored and move on to their next money making project?

YOU lose out, that’s what. Everything you’ve built up will be lost, all those links you shared, gone. All your work, gone.

Will this work short term? Possibly, but only if you have the means to share your links.

Although the business model can work It’s my opinion that this isn’t a viable way to start an online business and as such I won’t be approving this.

What Other Options Are There?

Having something to offer is a great start, but what’s the point in having that offer if you’re not getting eyeballs on it? No point whatsoever is the answer.

You need traffic and that can be split into 2 categories; Free or paid.

Personally I don’t pay for traffic, it’s way too hit and miss. You can seriously lose a lot of money if you are not experienced in running ads or paying the wrong Solo Ad provider.

I get my traffic from the search engines, mainly Google, but also Bing and Yahoo. I’m going to tell you a little secret now that most of the product vendors don’t want you to know ……. getting the sort of traffic I do takes time, it’s not going to happen overnight.

And that can be a problem for a lot of people, they want instant results and that’s why these product vendors release product after product.

Most of the products that get released make outrageous claims of making money with a push of a button and there’s no shortage of people willing to buy them.

How do I know? Because I was one of them, chasing dreams, forever looking for the way to make money online that didn’t require any hard work.

You know what? I didn’t find it, it doesn’t exist. It’s just something that is made up by the guru’s to create this false market, to empty your pockets of cash.

What you need to do is break this circle of forever chasing that elusive product that doesn’t exist, you need to focus on one thing and have the determination to see it through.

Only then can you truly stand a chance of making money online.

If you feel you those qualities I spoke of then I have the perfect solution, it’s the exact same solution I found over 4 years ago.

  1. Good catch on the “how we make” vs the “how you can make” thing. Yup, just because they do doesn’t mean that you will, especially as a newbie. That is a good thing to say especially if you make clear that it doesn’t mean that they will make that much right away, but you can potentially in time. It’s basically saying “hey, we know how to make this amount of money doing this thing, and we’d like to teach you how.”

Also one thing that caught my eye was the “up to $497 from every person.” “Up to $497” means everything from 0 to 497. But of course it seems like you will get $497 from everybody you give away something to, which won’t be the case
